Independent Ealing College
Independent Ealing College is a small, non-selective private fifth and sixth form college catering for GCSE
and A-level students set in the heart of Ealing Broadway close to Walpole Park, West London.
The College enrols students from year 9 at GCSE and for traditional two year A-level courses (AS and A2)
year12/13. The College also runs very popular intensive one year courses at both GCSE and A-level. A few A2
intensive courses are also run between September and December each year.
The College regularly achieves more than 60% A*/B grades at A-level, with many subjects achieving over 70% A*/B
grades which places the College amongst the top independent schools in the country.
For GCSEs, Ealing College has a reputation for getting the very best out of its GCSE students who thrive in the
small classes (6-8 students) and with the excellent pastoral support and weekly reporting to parents. The overall
pass rate in 2011 was 80% A*/C with Science, Additional Science, Mathematics, French achieving 100% A*/C. English
language and English Literature pass rate was also very high at 83%.

Students regularly raise their former A-level grades obtained at former institutions. Here are some highlights
from Class of 2010 and 2011:
Harpreet achieved BBE in his A-levels at a local tutorial college and
raised these to AAA after one year at Ealing. Harpreet is now studying Economics at Leicester University.
Matthew obtained DD grades at a local school in Mathematics and Physics and raised these in one year to AA
grades. Matthew is now studying Applied Social Science at York University.
Priya arrived with BCC grades and left with AAA grades and is now reading
Optometry at City University.
Theo arrived with DDU grades from a local state school and improved dramatically in one year to achieve AAC (a U
to an A in Chemistry is an incredible transformation).
Abtin enrolled at the College with EED and left with BBB grades and is now
Saajan improved his DDE grades obtained at an international school in Kenya to AAC which enabled him to study
Accounting and Finance at Kent University.
Ashwin improved his BBC grades to AAB and is now studying Industrial Economics at Nottingham University.
Genevieve obtained CCC grades at a former school which prevented her from reading Pharmacy; after one year at
Ealing she had boosted these to AAB and is now reading Pharmacy at Reading University.
Adam boosted his DE grades in Chemistry and Biology to AA grades in one year and is now studying Optometry.
